About the Product

COMPOSITION

1 tablet contains: 

zinc sulfate monohydrate 124 mg, equivalent to 45 mg of zinc. 

INDICATIONS FOR USE 

·Treatment and prevention of zinc deficiency 

·Purulent and phlegmonous acne in adults and children over 4 years 

·  Conditions associated with zinc deficiency (e.g., poor diet or malabsorption)

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Purulent and phlegmonous acne:

    • Adults: 1–2 tablets daily. 
    • Children over 4 years: 1 tablet daily.

Duration of treatment: 6–12 weeks

Zinc deficiency:

    • Adults: 1–2 tablets daily. 
    • Children over 4 years: 1 tablet daily. 

Administration:

 Take 1 hour before or 2 hours after meals.

If gastrointestinal irritation occurs, the medicine may be taken with food or immediately before meals.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Zinc sulfate is a source of zinc, an essential trace element involved in many biological processes:

    • participates in the activity of over 200 enzymes 
    • necessary for protein and DNA synthesis 
    • supports immune function 
    • promotes wound healing of skin and mucosa 
    • regulates sebaceous gland activity 
    • has anti-inflammatory effects in acne 

Zinc supplementation helps restore metabolic balance and improve skin condition in cases of deficiency.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

·Hypersensitivity to the active substance or any component of the product 

·Children under 4 years of age 

·  Lactose intolerance.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

·nausea 

·diarrhea 

·heartburn 

·headache 

·  metallic taste in the mouth.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

·Tetracyclines and quinolone antibiotics (e.g., ciprofloxacin, levofloxacin): zinc reduces their absorption → take with a 2–6 hour interval. 

·Iron, calcium, magnesium, aluminum-containing antacids: reduce zinc absorption. 

·Penicillamine: zinc may reduce its effect. 

·Copper: long-term zinc use may lower copper levels. 

·  Multivitamins/mineral supplements: possible competition for absorption.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Pregnancy and lactation

Zolidas crosses the placental barrier and may be used during pregnancy only if prescribed by a physician when the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.

The drug is also excreted into breast milk; therefore, its use during lactation is not recommended.
