COMPOSITION

Each dose contains:

    • Triamcinolone acetonide — 55 mcg. 

INDICATIONS FOR USE 

    • Prevention and treatment of seasonal and perennial allergic rhinitis. 
    • Relief of symptoms associated with allergic rhinitis, including: 
    • nasal congestion; 
    • nasal itching; 
    • sneezing; 
    • rhinorrhea (runny nose). 

The medicine is effective only with regular course treatment and is not intended for immediate relief of symptoms. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

For intranasal use.

Adults and children over 12 years:

    • recommended dose: 220 mcg/day (2 sprays into each nostril) once daily; 
    • if necessary, the dose may be increased up to 440 mcg/day, administered once daily or divided into 2–4 doses. 

Children 6–12 years:

    • recommended dose: 110 mcg/day (1 spray into each nostril) once daily; 
    • maximum daily dose: 220 mcg. 

After achieving the desired therapeutic effect, the dose should be gradually reduced to the minimum maintenance dose of 110 mcg/day, decreasing by 55 mcg (1 spray) every 4–7 days.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Triamcinolone acetonide has anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, and anti-edematous effects.

It reduces airway hyperresponsiveness. At therapeutic doses, it has minimal systemic effects, does not suppress adrenal cortical function, and does not cause sodium retention or edema.

The onset of action occurs within approximately 12 hours, with the maximum therapeutic effect achieved after 4–7 days of regular treatment.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

    • Hypersensitivity to triamcinolone acetonide or any component of the product. 
    • Children under 2 years of age. 
    • Pregnancy. 
    • Breastfeeding. 

Use with caution

    • Tuberculosis. 
    • Acute fungal infections. 
    • Acute bacterial infections. 
    • Acute viral infections. 
    • Ocular herpes simplex.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

·Headache. 

·Sneezing. 

·Cough. 

·Dryness of the nasal mucosa. 

·Nasal irritation. 

·Pharyngitis. 

·Nosebleeds. 

·Rhinitis. 

·  Fungal infection of the nose and throat.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

Triamcinolone acetonide has minimal systemic absorption after intranasal administration; therefore, clinically significant drug interactions are unlikely.

Caution is advised when used concomitantly with other corticosteroids, as systemic corticosteroid effects may be enhanced.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

    • For intranasal use only. 
    • Maximum therapeutic effect is achieved with regular use and not immediately after the first dose. 
    • Do not exceed the recommended dosage. 
    • During long-term treatment, periodic examination of the nasal mucosa is recommended. 
    • If signs of a local fungal infection develop, discontinue treatment and consult a physician. 
    • Use with caution in patients who have recently undergone nasal surgery or experienced nasal trauma until complete healing. 
    • Growth monitoring is recommended during prolonged use in children. 
    • If symptoms do not improve or worsen, consult a healthcare professional.
