COMPOSITION

Each capsule contains:

Lyophilized bacteria — 1.94 × 10⁹ CFU:

    • Lactobacillus rhamnosus — 0.5 × 10⁹ CFU
    • Lactobacillus plantarum — 0.2 × 10⁹ CFU
    • Streptococcus thermophilus — 0.5 × 10⁹ CFU
    • Lactobacillus acidophilus — 0.5 × 10⁹ CFU
    • Bifidobacterium spp. — 0.24 × 10⁹ CFU

Other active ingredients:

    • Saccharomyces boulardii — 65 mg
    • dry chamomile extract — 50 mg
    • inulin — 200 mg

INDICATIONS FOR USE 

    • restoration and normalization of the intestinal microflora and improvement of digestion; 
    • treatment of gastroenteritis and dyspepsia; 
    • prevention and treatment of antibiotic-associated diarrhoea and hospital-acquired diarrhoea; 
    • treatment of transient bowel dysfunctions (diarrhoea or constipation) associated with dietary changes, travel, or other causes; 
    • treatment of lactase deficiency; 
    • prevention and treatment of atopic diseases (allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, or eczema) as part of combination therapy; 
    • enhancement of immune function and the body's overall resistance to disease. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Opeferа should be taken orally after meals with a small amount of liquid.

    • Children aged 1–3 years: 1 capsule twice daily
    • Children aged 3–12 years: 1 capsule three times daily
    • Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age: 1–2 capsules three times daily

The duration of treatment depends on the cause of dysbiosis and the individual characteristics of the patient.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Opefera is a combination probiotic that helps optimize body functions, regulates microbial balance, and normalizes the composition of the intestinal microflora.

The lactobacilli contained in Opefera ferment carbohydrates to produce lactic acid. The acidic environment they create promotes the growth of bifidobacteria, which constitute 85–95% of the normal human intestinal microflora.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Known hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Very rarely, allergic reactions may occur due to hypersensitivity to any of the components of the product.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

There are no data on adverse effects or undesirable reactions resulting from interactions with medicinal products.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

Probiotic therapy in the following groups of patients should be carried out only under medical supervision:

    • patients with impaired or suppressed immune systems, especially: 
    • patients with advanced AIDS; 
    • patients with allografts; 
    • patients receiving chemotherapy; 
    • patients with acute pancreatic dysfunction, including insulin-dependent diabetic patients. 

Probiotics may improve sugar absorption and thereby affect insulin requirements. In patients taking probiotics, blood glucose levels should be monitored regularly, and the insulin dose should be adjusted accordingly if necessary.
