INDICATIONS FOR USE 

·preconception period (preparation for pregnancy); 

·prevention of pregnancy toxicosis; 

·prevention of congenital fetal malformations associated with vitamin and mineral deficiencies; 

·prevention and treatment of anemia in pregnant women; 

·  prevention and treatment of vitamin and mineral deficiencies during pregnancy and lactation. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Emfetal is taken orally at a dose of 2 tablets daily with meals.

It is recommended to consult a physician before taking the product.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Pharmacodynamics

 Emfetal is a combined vitamin and mineral preparation specially formulated for women during preconception, pregnancy, and breastfeeding.

Its effects are determined by the vitamins, macroelements, and microelements included in the composition, which participate in metabolic regulation, tissue growth and development, hematopoiesis, bone formation, and maintenance of the nervous, cardiovascular, and immune systems.

Main effects of the components

• • B-group vitamins support energy metabolism, nervous system function, hematopoiesis, and DNA synthesis.
  • Folic acid (vitamin B9) is essential for normal embryonic development and prevention of congenital fetal defects.
  • Vitamin A supports normal cell growth, vision, and immune function.
  • Vitamin C participates in collagen synthesis, increases resistance to environmental stressors, and improves iron absorption.
  • Vitamin D3 regulates calcium and phosphorus metabolism and promotes bone mineralization.
  • Vitamin E provides antioxidant protection against free-radical damage.
  • Calcium and magnesium are necessary for normal muscle, nerve, and bone function.
  • Iron is required for hemoglobin synthesis and helps prevent iron-deficiency anemia.
  • Zinc, copper, manganese, iodine, molybdenum, selenium, and chromium participate in enzymatic reactions and support metabolism, immune function, and endocrine function.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Hypersensitivity to any component of the product.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

Allergic reactions to the components of the product may occur.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

·Concomitant administration of Emfetal with antacids reduces the absorption of iron contained in the product. 

·Vitamin B6 included in the formulation may decrease the effectiveness of levodopa. 

·Laxatives containing mineral oil and cholestyramine reduce the absorption of vitamins A, D, and E. 

·Fluorouracil, vinblastine, bleomycin, and cisplatin may impair the absorption of vitamins A, B1, and B6. 

·Penicillamine and isoniazid reduce the effectiveness of vitamin B1 by increasing its elimination from the body. 

·Isoniazid may reduce the effectiveness of pyridoxine (vitamin B6). 

·Vitamin E may enhance the effects of cardiac glycosides, glucocorticosteroids, and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). 

·  Simultaneous use of Emfetal with other multivitamin preparations is not recommended due to the risk of overdose.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

·Do not exceed the recommended doses. 

·Urine may turn intensely yellow due to the presence of riboflavin in the formulation. 

·Stool may become dark in color due to the presence of iron in the formulation. 

·  The product should be stored out of the reach of children and should not be used after the expiration date.
