PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Declocid is a combined medicinal product for external use intended for the treatment of skin diseases. Its action is обусловлено the components included in its composition: beclomethasone dipropionate, clotrimazole, gentamicin sulfate, and clioquinol.
Beclomethasone dipropionate is a synthetic glucocorticosteroid with anti-inflammatory, antiallergic, antiexudative, and antipruritic effects.
Clotrimazole is an imidazole derivative with antifungal activity resulting from inhibition of ergosterol synthesis in the fungal cell membrane. It is active against Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, Microsporum canis, Candida albicans, Malassezia furfur, as well as Corynebacterium minutissimum, Streptococcus spp., Staphylococcus spp., and Trichomonas vaginalis.
Gentamicin sulfate is a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic with bactericidal activity. It is active against gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria, including Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Escherichia coli, Klebsiella spp., Proteus vulgaris, Streptococcus spp., and Staphylococcus spp.
Clioquinol has antibacterial, antiseptic, and antifungal properties. Its local effect is associated with the ability of iodine to precipitate tissue proteins.

Use during pregnancy and lactation:
Use of Declocid during pregnancy is possible only if the expected benefit to the mother outweighs the potential risk to the fetus.
It is unknown whether the components of the medicinal product are excreted into breast milk; therefore, discontinuation of breastfeeding should be considered if treatment during lactation is necessary.
Use in pediatrics:
In children from 7 years of age, the medicinal product should be used only under strict indications and medical supervision due to the possible development of systemic adverse effects associated with beclomethasone.
