COMPOSITION

150 ml of syrup contains:

dry concentrate of linden flowers — 2.295 g

dry concentrate of lemon balm — 2.228 g

dry concentrate of chamomile — 2.228 g

extract passionflower— 1.500 g

hop extract — 750.0 mg

dry extract of orange tree fruits — 750.0 mg

lavender extract — 750.0 mg. 

INDICATIONS FOR USE 

Vamelan Kids is indicated as a sedative for children:

• • with neurosis-like conditions (especially in children of primary and middle school age) accompanied by motor and mental excitation; 
  • with sleep disorders (difficulty falling asleep, superficial sleep); 
  • with neurocirculatory dystonia; 
  • with increased intracranial pressure. 

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Vamelan Kids syrup is taken orally after meals. The syrup should be shaken before use. If necessary, it may be diluted with water, fruit juice, or infant food.

Children from birth to 1 year are usually given 2.5 milliliters 1–3 times daily.

Children aged 1 to 3 years — 5 milliliters 1–2 times daily.

Children aged 3 to 6 years — 5 milliliters 2–3 times daily.

Children over 6 years — 5 milliliters 3–4 times daily.

For dosing, a measuring cup graduated at 2.5 milliliters, 3 milliliters, 5 milliliters, 7.5 milliliters, 10 milliliters, and 15 milliliters is used.

The duration of treatment is determined by the physician.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES

Vamelan Kids is a combined herbal medicinal product with a sedative effect. The activity is due to its plant components.

Linden flowers exert sedative, antispasmodic and mild diuretic effects, reduce motor restlessness and improve concentration.

Lemon balm has mild sedative, anxiolytic and antispasmodic properties and supports cognitive function and digestion.

Chamomile has anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antispasmodic and sedative effects and helps reduce pain.

Passionflower provides a mild central nervous system sedative effect, improves sleep quality and reduces anxiety, and has antispasmodic activity.

Hops have sedative and mild antispasmodic effects and support appetite and gastrointestinal function.

Orange fruit extract has general tonic and cardiotonic effects.

Lavender has sedative and mild hypnotic effects, reducing anxiety and improving sleep.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

Individual intolerance or hypersensitivity to any component of the medicinal product.

ADVERSE REACTIONS

The medicinal product is well tolerated. When used in doses exceeding the recommended ones, nausea and allergic reactions may occur.

DRUG INTERACTIONS

When used concomitantly with drugs that depress the central nervous system, such as barbiturates and tranquilizers, the sedative and hypnotic effects of the medicinal product are enhanced.

SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS

The duration of use of Vamelan is not limited. No withdrawal syndrome develops after discontinuation.

The product is indicated for mild sleep disorders and increased nervous excitability.

Use during pregnancy and lactation:

Use only as prescribed and under medical supervision.

Effects on ability to drive and operate machinery:

Caution should be exercised when driving or performing potentially hazardous activities requiring increased attention and psychomotor speed.

Keep out of reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.
